- Shimmable for customized saddle fit
- 95%Â shock absorption
- Minimizes rider movement for a quieter seat
- 100% breathable and a non-slip saddle fit.
- Gives riders the look of sheepskin without the bulk, high maintenance, and cost of a full sheepskin pad
ThinLine pads are used to improve both horse and rider. Riders find softer seats and less saddle movement in a low maintenance saddle pad. Horses seek the comfort of a breathable pad that releases heat and moisture. Both enjoy the 95% shock absorption on the horse’s and rider’s spine.
Made with Ultra ThinLine over a high quality quilted cotton base pad contoured with sheepskin rolls. Creating a contoured wither profile and spine free channel. This design allows the pad to lay on either side of the spine to always be in the right place, allowing the horse to work effectively through their back. Delivering the maximum shock absorbency in the minimum thickness. Add this pad for maximum comfort for both horse and rider. This pad is perfect for those who love the look of a Full Sheepskin pad but don’t want or need the extra bulk.
Regular maintenance: Dry between rides. Place the pad sheepskin face up in a cool environment, in humid climates use a fan to blow over the pad. Once the pad is dry, lightly brush it with a pet brush to help to keep the wool fluffy and resilient for the next ride.
Washing and drying:Â Sheepskin saddle pads are best washed by hand in cold water. Use a soap designed for sheepskin to keep your pad under warranty. You may machine wash (although hand wash is preferred) in a front loader, no agitators against the ThinLine panels, gentle wash cycle, cold. Remove excess water in the pad by squeezing the water out or placing it in your washing machine on the spin cycle.
Fill the washing machine (or bathtub for really large items) with water, then add a sheepskin soap. Soak for 1-hour squeezing soap and water through the item from time to time. If the item is really dirty you may need to repeat the process. Squeeze or use the spin cycle to remove excess water and lay over a rack or rail to dry with sheepskin facing up. Keep out of the sun, and away from direct heat and dryers. Please do not brush or pull sheepskin fibres when wet. To prevent shrinkage, gently stretch the hide while drying.
